Big Horn Sheep A Surprise around every corner!
Big Horn Sheep (all rams) cross the road in Custer State Park.  The sheep were transplanted in the Black Hills from the Rocky Mountains in the 1920's.

Goat on cliff Rocky Mountain Goats
These beautiful animals can often be seen grazing around Mount Rushmore or on hill tops on Iron Mountain Road.  The goats were introduced into the Black Hills in the 1920's.  Today's goats are descendants from those captured in Glacier National Park in Montana.
