who once lived in the wild mining town of Deadwood.

Seth Bullock was the first appointed Sheriff of Deadwood and a close friend of President Teddy Roosevelt A businessman, rancher, Rough Rider, and lawman, Bullock was the main character of HBO's Deadwood series. |
Methodist minister, Henry Weston Smith, was the first "Sky Pilot" in Deadwood. He was killed by Indians just outside of town on his way to preach in nearby mining camp. His death came about 3 weeks after Wild Bill was killed. |
